Pregnancy is such a fleeting and meaningful chapter, and maternity photography is a beautiful way to remember the excitement and connection before your baby arrives. As a maternity photographer in Oxfordshire, I offer relaxed outdoor, studio and in-home sessions that focus on natural moments, genuine emotion and timeless imagery.
Maternity photoshoot sessions are relaxed and styled to suit you. The aim of these sessions is to capture beautiful images of your pregnancy that you will be able to look back on with pride in years to come. You might be nervous of revealing your bump or feel unattractive during your final weeks of pregnancy but I can promise that you will not regret booking a maternity photoshoot. In fact most mums who come to me for their baby’s newborn photoshoot say that they wish that they had had one.
About the Maternity Photoshoot
Maternity sessions are best done between 30-36 weeks of your pregnancy to emphasise your bump at its best but in reality they can be done whenever you feel most comfortable. You are welcome to bring rings, scan photos, baby shoes etc to be photographed with. Partners and child are also welcome to be included in the session. Maternity Photography FAQs
The ideal time for a maternity photoshoot is between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. Around this time, your bump is beautifully round, but you are still comfortable enough to move around easily. We recommend getting in touch around your 20-week scan to secure your date, as our calendar fills up quickly.”
We want you to feel absolutely radiant and comfortable. We recommend soft, flowy fabrics, form-fitting knit dresses, or neutral tones that beautifully accentuate your bump. We also have a curated studio wardrobe featuring elegant maternity gowns and wraps that you are more than welcome to use during your session.
Absolutely. A new baby changes the dynamic of the whole family, and capturing the connection between you, your partner, and your older children is a beautiful part of the maternity story. We will make sure to capture a wonderful mix of solo portraits and family combinations.
It is completely natural to feel a little hesitant in front of the camera, especially during pregnancy. Please rest assured that our studio is a safe, completely relaxed, and judgment-free space. We use gentle, professional lighting and expert, natural posing techniques designed to flatter your shape and celebrate the incredible journey your body is on.
